Start: 10am prompt - Meet by the roundabout in Pickering where the Whitby - Malton road (A169) crosses the Thirsk - Scarborough Road (A170)
Parking: There is a long-stay car-park just by the roundabout. It costs £5.00 for 6 hours and appears to be CASH-ONLY.
There is also no-limit free parking on the A170 roadside. (Heading East away from Pickering)

Distance: Approx 8.5 miles
Level of difficulty: This is lovely walk with picturesque villages, babbling brooks, woodland walking, field-edge walking and even a bit of road walking. There are a couple of steep-ish climbs; not particularly hard but enough to raise the heart rate. The total amount of climbing is approx. 850 ft.
Toilets: Plenty of bushes!
Cafe: We pass a farm cafe after about an hour and I was proposing taking a coffee-break there. There are also plenty of cafes in Pickering at the end.
