A lovely circular walk taking in Pateley Bridge, Wath, Gouthwaite reservoir and some old lead mine workings, for those with an interest in industrial heritage.

Start: 10am

Parking: Roadside in Fridaythorpe opposite the pond

Distance: 7 miles

Time: 3 1/2 hours

Level of difficulty: Easy 

This is an easyish walk. There are no steep ascents this time! We walk northwards out of the village and then across into West Dale, Bradeham Dale and finally Wayreham Dale before crossing the A166. We then walk back to Fridaythorpe along a minor road (with grass verge) and farm tracks.
