Sunday walk: Welburn - Sunday 11 February

Time: 10am prompt

Date: Sunday 11 February

Start: Welburn village centre at Crown and Cushion pub

Distance: 7.5 miles

Time: 3-4 hours

Level of difficulty: Moderate

Refreshments and toilets: Pub in Welburn at the end of the walk.

We will walk out from Welbrun village across fields towards Castle Howard, providing probably the best view of the stately home from outside the grounds. As we pass along the route of the walk, we will be rewarded with lots of views of the Mausoleum, Pyramid and Temple of the Four Winds.

The walk is muddy in places, there are a few gentle hills, but the views are lovely.
