will be at Bannatyne’s gym at 9 am if anyone wants a lift.
Distance: Approx 8 miles.
Level of difficulty: Easy circular walk.
Approx Time: 3,5 hours
Refreshments/Toilets: Pub in Appleton-le-Street.
General description: We will start from the pleasant
village of Coneysthorpe, situated just a mile north of Castle Howard. We walk
south past Castle Howard before we turn east to Low Gaterly. Turning north
following a foot path to Park Ho we then turn east following Coneysthorpe Banks
Wood making a detour for the pub (a must) in Appleton-le-Street, before
returning to Coneysthorpe. This is an easy and pleasant walk, in particular if
we get warm weather.
