This walk - as featured on BBC1 a couple of months ago (https://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/m000brwb) provides wonderful scenery as we proceed along Wensleydale towards Castle Bolton.

Take time out from the hustle and bustle of life to indulge in Wensleydale and its wonderful vistas. Along this ramble through the dale, discover evidence of an industrial past and heritage railway line. We will walk onwards to the impressive Bolton Castle, the location of Mary Queen of Scots' imprisonment in 1568. Returning via the river Ure to Leyburn and socially distanced group picnic.

We will stop during the walk for a refreshment and lunch break so bring a pack up as normal.

Weather permitting, we hope to have a picnic afterwards, so bring food and drink. There might even be the possibility of a pint from a local pub...
