Newton Dale and Levisham - Wednesday 26th August

Start and parking: Along village streets in Newton-on-Rawcliffe. Take the minor road out of Pickering that passes by the railway station and it is the first village you come to.

Time: 10am

Leader: Ali

Distance: 7 miles

Time: 3 1/2 hours

Level of difficulty: Easy to moderate

Refreshments: Pubs at Newton-on-Rawcliffe and Levisham. Cafe and pubs in Pickering.

As far as I can remember (have not walked it for several years and that was in the snow!). This is a lovely easyish walk` with 2 ascents and descents. We walk down to the North Yorkshire railway, cross it, then on to Levisham and then past the lovely church into Newton Dale and walk along it back to the start. There is a little road walking around Levisham, otherwise on good paths and tracks.
