The plan is to walk along the River Nidd towards Birstwith before returning via Burnt Yates & Ripley Estate.

Sunday walk: Sandsend - 12 February

Start: 10am prompt. Meet in car park in Sandsend

Walk towards Mulgrave Woods, head to castle then head towards a ford to cross with about 2 inch of water (we have a pair of 9 size wellies which clive will carry if anyone needs assistance to cross!!). Walk out of the woods head to Cleveland way back to Sandsend. Dogs must be kept on lead in mulgrave woods.

A walk from Kilburn, home to the Mouseman, takes us through fields and woods towards Oldstead, Coxwold before returning to Kilburn. 

Expect a bit of mud, it's January.

Level of difficulty:  This is an undulating walk on minor roads, farm tracks and field paths.

A gentle walk towards Acaster Malbis along the river, then heading towards Bishopthorpe, before returning to the river and returning to Naburn. There will be a coffee stop just after Bishopthorpe.

Wednesday walk: Wetwang - 30 November

Parking: There is parking on Northfield Road which is a Left Hand turn just as you enter the village.

Level of difficulty: This is an undulating walk in the Wolds. Most of the paths are well defined but it is autumn and we have had a lot of rain recently so there will be mud.

 

Toilets: Nothing formal

 

Cafe: Thought we could try the biker cafe in Fridaythorpe which is 2 miles from Wetwang on the way back to York. (Unless anyone has another suggestion)
