Main walk: Saturday 20 July - 10am start - this will be an approx. 10 mile walk in the surrounding area, followed by evening meal in local establishment
Sunday walk: Sunday 21 July - 10am start - this will be a shorter approx 6 mile walk in the surrounding area.
Depart: Sunday 21 July mid afternoon.
Accommodation: arrange your own accommodation in the various B&B's or hotels in Grassington. There are numerous available if you search the web.

A splendid medium walk to Blakey Topping & Malo Cross.
Excellent vantage points.
Starts opposite direction to Hole of Horcum.
This walk promises stunning countryside and views - one not to be missed, especially if there are easter eggs to be worked off....

Terrington to Granthorpe and along the ridge to Airyholme - Sunday 10th March

Start: 10am in Terrington - meet at village shop
Distance: 7.7 miles
Time: 4 hours
Level of difficulty: moderate
7.7 miles of gentle hills and woodland. Good views. The route takes us across some fields and some tinkling streams with muddy bits but a good measure of firm track too. Good for dogs. 824 feet climbed altogether.
Parking in the village main street also in the Village Hall car park. Meeting near the village shop to leave at 10.00hrs.The village hall may be open for toilets the Lady in the shop tells me. Unfortunately the Pub is still shut.
3.5 hours Inc. 20mins for lunch in the woods. (Back in time for England v Italy at 15.00hrs)

Ampleforth Abbey - Sunday 9th December 2012

Level of difficulty: Easy (moderate in places)
Distance: 7 miles
Meeting on the main street in Ampleforth (parking on main street), the walk takes us towards Wass and Bylands Abbey before returning to Ampleforth.
The start of the walk is quite muddy at this time of year, so bring a change of clothers if you are participating in the Xmas meal at Ampleforth Abbey afterwards (changing area available).
The walk needs to start promptly at 10am to ensure we are back in time for the start of the meal.

Circular walk from Robin Hood’s Bay

Start: 10:00 at the top car park at Robin Hood’s Bay
(at the old railway station). Anders will be at Bannatynes just before 9 am if anyone
wants a lift.
Distance: Approx 7-8 miles. (About 3 hours)
Level of difficulty: Easy to moderate.
Refreshments/Toilets: Plenty of facilities in Robin
Hood’s Bay. Toilets at car park.
We will set off from Robin Hood’s Bay on the old railway
line towards Whitby. At Hawsker Bottoms we turn down towards the sea and the
Cleveland Way, have a break and walk back to Robin Hood’s Bay on the cliff
tops.
