Sunday walk: Rosedale Abbey and mining country - Sunday 11 April 10am

Each group of walkers consists of a leader and five walkers to abide by current Covid rules.

Start: 10am prompt from outside Milburn Arms Hotel, Heygate Bank, Rosedale Abbey, YO18 8RA.
There is parking along the street and off road nearby

Leaders: Steve, Bridie and others if required

Distance: 8 miles

Level of difficulty: Moderate, a few hills but mainly walking on well maintained tracks

Amount of time required: ~4 hours

Facilities: toilets and refreshments in Rosedale Abbey village

This is a wonderful walk taking in scenic views of the North York Moors and the East Mines, once a busy and noisy centre for ironstone mining. We will be walking along farm and disused railway tracks, as well as across moor and farm land.
