Mid week walk: Tuesday 17th October - Burniston, Cloughton and Hayburn Wyke
Start: 10am prompt
Car parking: Take the A 171 Scarborough to Whitby road and in Burniston turn right immediately after the Jolly Sailors Pub into Rocks Lane and follow this narrow lane under a railway bridge to where it ends at a small car park overlooking Crook Ness.
Leader: Ali
Distance: 7 miles
Time: 3 1/2 to 4 hours
Refreshments and toilets: Pub at Hayburn Wyke. Lovely café at Cloughton(the old railway station) and café and pubs in Burniston.
This walk takes us over open cliff tops with a few ascents and descents on the way, but they are mostly short and sharp. It is an easy walk back to Burniston along the disused railway line and a quiet country road.
