Start: 10am prompt - park in the small car park that can be found beyond The Lord Nelson pub - as the road bears to the left, there is a small parking area to the right, opposite Riverside Gardens.

This countryside walk promptly leaves Poppleton across farmland towards Redhouse Wood which should be a sea of bluebells at this time of year. Shortly after the path takes us to the confluence of the Ouse and Nidd opposite Beningbrough Hall. The walk then returns for several miles along the river towards Poppleton with a short stop to view the pumping station serving Leeds.

Sunday walk: West Tanfield - 8 March

Start: 10am prompt. Meet at the West Tanfield Memorial carpark. West Tanfield is a village on the A6108, north of Ripon, 2 miles past Lightwater Valley. The car park is on the RHS just after crossing the bridge into the village. 'Free' parking, though a small donation in the  Honesty Box is appreciated.

This 8.2 mile walk follows the River Ure towards Grewelthorpe before crossing east to North Stainley then following the Ure back to North Tanfield.

Leave village towards Burton le Street then a 406ft climb (the only one!) Then walk on the ridge, lovely views (weather depending).

This lovely walk starts in the village of Cropton, near Pickering, and on the southern edge of the North York Moors, along woodland paths, farm tracks, and country lanes.

This undulating walk around the River Seven on the fringes of the North York Moors takes in three moorland villages, three pubs and three churches.

The planned walk is to do a circular walk through Hawnby. Hawnby is approximately half way round, so we could stop at the cafe in Hawnby for lunch, or at least a cuppa. (We can decide on the day.)

The route is mainly along field & woodland paths but if we find it very muddy under foot, there is an alternative circuit to Rievaulx which follows more substantial paths.

There are no obvious toilets at either the start or en-route,.

Recommendations for an after walk cafe are welcome, but the Sutton Bank Visitor Centre is an option.

This walk is on Remembrance Sunday & we will stop walking for 2 minutes at 11.

The walk heads north from Robin Hoods Bay along the Cinder Track towards Whitby but inland until we reach Whitestone Point and the now defunct lighthouse and fog signal. At this point, we return along the coastal cliffs towards Robin Hoods Bay, taking in the views.
